Relaxation of Government Covid restrictions
Following guidance from the Church of England regarding the new stage of the lifting of Covid restrictions, implemented on July 19, the churchwardens, clergy and health and safety officer have concluded that we will proceed with caution and largely continue our present routines.
However:
- It will no longer be necessary to book in for services, but you are encouraged to scan the NHS QR code poster situated in the entrance lobby, should you so wish.
- Face coverings should still be worn when entering or leaving the church, please, but they can be removed when seated.
- Hand sanitisation is still strongly recommended on entry to the church and will still be required before receiving Holy Communion. Only wafers will be distributed, as now.
- ‘The Peace’ will continue as now with no physical contact.
- There will be no need for formal social distancing, but common sense is the watchword.
- We would like to restart offering tea and coffee after services and the logistics are under discussion.
